It's always great to receive a proper demo recording - a one that you'd really like from its very first sound. Especially when it comes from musicians you've never heard of before. We're always pleased and surprised with such works, shame it doesn't happen too often.
Such was the case of The Transcription Of Organ Music - we knew we want to release it as soon as we've heard it for the first time.
Joseph Volmer and Eric Fourman are from Murfreesboro, TN, USA and they recorded the piece at home, late at night in May 2008. It's a 12-minutes long completely improvised music for Piano, Guitar, Toy Piano, Toy Flute and Vocals.
We don't know much more about the musicians, except for the fact that Eric is a music critic and that Joseph is involved in a noise-pop band Blastoids (which we really like as well).
The Transcription... is a bit drony, very consistent (especially as for late night improvisation) and trully astonishing track - if you like what we're usually releasing on AudioTong then trust us, this is one of the highlights of our catalogue.
