Do we use our hands to write? Anymore?
Sometimes I feel my hand has forgotten how to move, to write letters, words, sentences, stories. Even this is being written using a computer keyboard to be later published, distributed, printed.
How can we reveal emotion while typing on the keyboard? … We can’t really (perhaps using the infantile smiles created by combinations of :-(o)
But we do reveal much emotion while using our hand and pencil to write – quickly, slowly, sharply, finely, quietly or roughly… There is great experience behind any such moving of a hand; there is much history or mental energy the hand can draw from its past... And this is able to reveal a lot.
